How do I check out materials?

You need to create a library account to check out materials. Fill out this form and CGCC Library staff will create an account for you. You must have a CGCC student email and student ID number to do so.

Am I eligible for a library card/account?

A library card, also referred to as a library barcode, can be requested by anyone who is currently taking classes at Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC). When you register for classes, you are allowed access to CGCC's databases and physical resources.

Do I need a physical library card?

You don't need a physical card (though you can get one from The Dalles Campus if you want to use it at the public library). Hood River and The Dalles public library patrons can use their public library card to use the resources at the CGCC library. Request a card by coming in person or calling (541) 506-6081.
