About GYO
This scholarship is for students pursuing a career in education.
The Grow Your Own (GYO) scholarship is intended for students pursuing a career in education. Applicants who meet eligibility criteria will receive awards up to $1,000 through spring 2025. Award amounts may be adjusted if above cost of attendance.
Award amount is subject to available funding each term.
Applicants will receive award notification through their CGCC student email. If awarded, recipients will be asked to opt into a data sharing agreement with GYO partners, Columbia Gorge Education Service District and Western Oregon University.
To qualify, students must:
Be enrolled at CGCC
Plan to pursue a career in education
Meet with an advisor each term
Complete the scholarship application

Elementary Educator Transfer Pathway
The Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer-Elementary Educator Transfer Pathway is a 2-year program that establishes a path to a 4-year degree in Elementary Education.
Early Childhood Education
An Associate of Applied Science and three certificates in Early Childhood Education are available.
