About GYO
GYO builds high quality local and/or regional partnerships of early learning through K-12 programs. GYO scholarships and programs increase access to education and support students who want to become educators through completion of traditional and non-traditional licensure programs.

Elementary Educator Transfer Pathway
The Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer-Elementary Educator Transfer Pathway is a 2-year program that establishes a path to a 4-year degree in Elementary Education.

GYO Scholarship
The Grow Your Own (GYO) scholarship is intended for students pursuing a career in education. Funds can cover tuition, fees, and up to an additional $1,000 per term. This application covers all terms through spring 2025. If awarded, students do not need to re-apply during that period. Award amount is subject to available funding each term.
Applicants will receive award notification through their CGCC student email. If awarded, recipients will be asked to opt into a data sharing agreement with GYO partners, Columbia Gorge Education Service District and Western Oregon University.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants are enrolled at CGCC and are pursuing a career in education.
- Applicants have answered all required questions on this application.
NOTE: Dual credit students are not eligible for this scholarship.
