Stephen Shwiff

Background
Since joining CGCC, Professor Stephen Shwiff has taught many classes in the Business & Entrepreneurship program including Business Ethics, Business Law, and Income Tax. He also teaches the US History sequence and Western Civilization I.
He has a juris doctor (JD) from Southern Methodist University School of Law, a Master of Arts in History (concentration in US History, minor in European History) from the University of Texas in San Antonio, and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (concentration in early US History) from Southern Methodist University. In addition, he has a Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Classics (Greek and Roman) from the University of Texas at Austin.
Professor Shwiff has taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio, San Antonio College, Northwest Vista College, and St Phillips College in Texas before coming to CGCC in 2009. He taught a variety of courses, including the History of United States and US History from colonial times until the present. Prior to teaching, Stephen practiced law in Dallas, Texas, handling over a thousand cases including family law, criminal law, and various business matters, including dozens of jury trials.
