Karly Aparicio
Interim Vice President of Student Services
Bio
Over the past two decades, Karly has served many roles in higher education, including an admissions officer for an Oregon Public University, a college counselor at a private high school in CA, and a director of state and district partnerships for a large education non-profit. Karly is an expert in transition from high school to college, including post-high school planning, admissions and financial aid application processes, and helping students and families understand the value of their investment. Every day she reaffirms her commitment to equity and focuses on removing barriers for all students to achieve their goals. "Nothing makes me happier than to see a student gain confidence in who they are and what they want," she says. "For students, it is scary to put actions behind your hopes and dreams. I am grateful to be able to help students put their best self forward as they explore and apply to college."
When she is not working, you will find her exploring the Columbia River Gorge with her boys, hubby, and dog reluctantly in tow.
