Background

Diane Uto (pronounced “Utah”) is an instructor of communication studies at Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) in The Dalles. 

During her professional career, she has served in marketing and communication positions in the areas of commercial aviation and economic development. For two years, she served in Ottawa as manager of air service development for the Canadian federal airport system.  She recently completed a three-year contract as a corporate trainer with Insitu, conducting workshops in the areas of leadership and workplace communication. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, a Master of Arts in International Studies, and a Master of Arts in Communication. She and her husband live in Dufur.
