Aircraft Mechanic Programs

FAA guidance shows high growth in the aviation industry, and there's already a nationwide shortage of certified aircraft maintenance technicians. Taking off from our FAA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Technician program means entering a career where you can count on well-paying job offers wherever you land, whether that's close to home or around the world. 

Program duration: 18 months (most programs are 24 months)
Job outlook: $38 per hour is the average starting wage for certified aircraft mechanics

Construction Programs

The construction technology program at CGCC is a great choice for students who are interested in learning about all aspects of the construction industry. It emphasizes hands-on, practical experience and problem-based learning, just like what you’ll encounter on the job.

Program duration: 9 months for each certificate, and the AAS can be completed in 2 years.
Job outlook: $24 per hour is a typical offer to graduates of our program

Electro-Mechanical Technology Programs 

The combination of mechanical, electrical, and programming skills our EM-Tech students learn in their 9 month certificate program or 2-year degree program makes our graduates very valuable in the job market. You'll get jobs as electrical and mechanical engineers, wind turbine and power plant technicians (61% growth in the next 10 years), UAV operators and service techs for mills, semiconductor plants (115,000 new jobs coming to the US by 2030), breweries, the ag industry — for companies right here in the region like Insitu, the US Army Corps of Engineers, HP, and Bonneville Power. 

Program duration: 9 months for each certificate, and the AAS can be completed in 2 years.
Job outlook: $28 per hour is starting pay for a GE wind turbine technician, and $55 per hour is median wage at the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Manufacturing Programs 

Our Advanced Manufacturing and Fabrication AAS program prepares you for high-tech manufacturing roles, while our certificates offer specialized training in areas such as CNC machining, robotics, quality control, and process improvement. Acquire the skills needed to level up in today's advanced manufacturing industries.

Program duration: 9 months for each certificate, and the AAS can be completed in 2 years.
Job outlook: $24-28 per hour is starting pay at local companies like AAA Fab, Ram Hydro, Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, Crane Services.
