Listening Sessions
Listening Sessions
As part of our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and empowered environment for all students, we would like to invite you to a special listening session focusing on the experiences and needs of LGBTQ2SIA+ students at CGCC.
Whether you identify as LGBTQ2SIA+ or as an ally, we encourage you to attend and lend your voice to this important conversation. Your insights and perspectives are invaluable as we work together to foster a campus environment that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusivity.
Your thoughts are incredibly important to us, and we believe that by coming together as a community, we can ensure that every student feels valued, respected, and supported. In the spirit of allyship, these listening sessions are an opportunity for us to hear directly from LGBTQ2SIA+ students about their experiences and challenges, and to gather suggestions for how we can best provide an open and welcoming environment at CGCC that promotes leadership from the LGBTQ2SIA+ community.
We are hosting two sessions to accommodate different schedules and preferences:
- Session 1: Wednesday, March 6th, 11:00 am, CGCC The Dalles Campus, Building 1 - Small Boardroom (near The Hook Cafe)
- Session 2: Thursday, March 7th, 2:00 pm, on Zoom
Both sessions are co-sponsored by Columbia Gorge Pride Alliance, a program of The Next Door, Inc. The Next Door, Inc. is an organization dedicated to supporting and empowering people in our local community. We are grateful for their partnership in making these sessions possible.
Thank you for your commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive community at CGCC. We look forward to seeing you at the listening sessions!
