Prepare before the job fair!
We’ll have drop-in centers on both job fair days to help you create or edit your resume, give advice on interviewing, and offer general career-readiness advice. At the job fair, it’s okay to be nervous. Being prepared will help you feel confident and more comfortable. Practice your personal elevator pitch! An elevator pitch is a 60 second explanation of who you are, what you’re looking for, and why you’re interested in that industry or job. Dress for the job you want. If you’re interested in accounting, wear something more business casual; or if you want to go into construction, dress casually in your work clothes. Our Career Advisors will be around all day to help answer any questions and offer advice. Be yourself, smile, and have fun!
